ROOM PLANNING, WITH THE DIMENSIONS LEFT IN.

Small bedrooms · 4 minute guide

It fits the room. Can it reach the room?

A separate worksheet for cartons, doorways, stairs and turns.

01

Choose the object you are moving

An assembled cabinet and its flat-pack cartons are different objects. Record the exact package count, dimensions and weights from the manufacturer. If a delivery service will assemble the piece in the room, confirm what its service actually includes before planning around it.

02

Measure every narrow point

Note clear door openings, elevator dimensions, stair widths, railings and low ceilings. Record the space at landings and tight turns too. A single doorway width does not prove a long carton can rotate through the entire route.

03

Do not turn this into a diagonal shortcut

A carton’s diagonal alone does not establish that it can move through a three-dimensional route. We supply a printable measurement record, not a guaranteed moving simulation. Give the measurements to the retailer or delivery team when the route is uncertain.

04

Plan for the final position

Allow the handling and assembly space required by the manufacturer or delivery service. Confirm whether doors, shelving or other furniture obstruct the move. Keep the package list with your room measurements so you do not confuse assembled dimensions with shipping dimensions.

Put the measurements to work.
